11am – Cat Walk Tiny Trek

Discover how these tiny monkeys survive against the many predators of the rainforest! Did you know – A tiger's stipes help them camouflage in the wild? Watch out for… the illusive Scottish wildcat! Talks will start at the tiger tunnel.

11:30am – Warty Pig

Come and discover our warty pigs, one of the rarest mammals in the zoo. They are often overshadowed by their African cousins, but they are a different species. And learn why they have one of the best hairdos in the zoo! Watch our warty pigs as they forage and root around in their enclosure for any tasty food they might find.

1:30pm – Sloths

Discover why being slow is the cleverest strategy for sloths to survive in their rainforest homes! Did you know – sloths have been living on planet Earth for almost 64 million years and included sloths the size of elephants. Watch out for… our sloths hanging in the trees even while they’re snoozing – special tendons in a sloth’s hands and feet lock to allow them to sleep without any effort at all!

2:30pm – Penguins

Discover why ocean conservation is critical to the pitter-patter of penguin feet!  

Did you know – gentoo penguins are the fastest penguins in the world, swimming at a zippy 22mph?  

Watch out for… our ‘Very Important Penguin’, Sir Nils Olav, who is a knighted member of the Norwegian Guard!

3:30pm – Drill

These Old-World Monkeys face many new world problems. Often overshadowed by their colourful cousins, they are the second biggest monkey in the world. Come along and discover where they fit into the world of primates. Watch our troop of drills as they explore their surroundings.
