Looking for an exciting and unforgettable way to celebrate your children's birthday?
We have some otter-ly awesome experiences for you to choose from for a koala-ty birthday celebration! Each package will include a customised tour of Edinburgh Zoo with one of our friendly discovery rangers, followed by an exclusive lunch for your party.
There are two packages available but if you have a specific request, please let a member of the events team know and we will do our best to accommodate.
Cheeky Monkeys Party Package
- Available at 11am and 1pm
- Suitable for ages 3 and over
- Interactive tour led by one of our friendly party rangers
- Exclusive birthday lunch
- A creative and exciting craft activity for all the party
- A birthday card from us at Edinburgh Zoo
- Free admissions for two adults
- Discounted entry rates of £15.95 for additional adults
- £33 per child, please note this includes their admission for the day
- Requirement of one adult for every four children
Paw-some Party Package
- Suitable for ages 5 and over
- Interactive tour led by one of our friendly party rangers
- Everything included in the Cheeky Monkeys Party Package
- Close Encounters - "Show and Tell"
- You and your party will spend time with our ranger meeting some of our more unusual animals here at Edinburgh Zoo! This could include a small mammal, reptiles, and invertebrates
- Opportunity to ask the ranger any questions
- £38 per child, please note this includes their admission for the day
- Requirement of one adult for every four children
Added extras
- Party bags (£8.95 per child)
- Party bags include an animal themed notebook, pencil, eraser pack, keyring and puzzle game for each attendee to enjoy
- Enrichment activity (£3 per child)
- Enrichment activity involves creating a fun and stimulating task for the animals using craft materials. It provides them with challenges, opportunities and stimulation to encourage natural behaviours
- Both packages have a minimum of 10 children required, and a maximum group number of 30 (including adults)
Please note, a deposit of £90 will be required when booking which will be deducted from your remaining balance. We require the remainder of your balance paid at least 14 days before your booking. If you wish to cancel, you have up to 14 days before the party to receive a refund on your deposit or to reschedule your party. If you're within 14 days of your party, no refund will be given, and we cannot reschedule. We need a minimum of 4 weeks notice for any date request.

Keeper experience gifts
If you choose to add a Keeper Experience voucher as a gift for the birthday child for future use, we will discount the cost by 15% when purchased with a party booking.
For more information or to book email events@rzss.org.uk and a member of the team will get back to you as soon as possible. Members receive a 10% discount on birthday parties by quoting their membership number when booking their experience.
