Family Fun Keeper Experience
Bring the family for an unforgettable day behind the scenes as zookeepers! This unique, hands-on experience is designed for animal lovers of all ages, giving you a chance to meet, feed, and care for some of our most beloved residents together in a group.
The experience includes helping with daily animal feeds, making enrichment for a variety of animals and lots of special hands-on magic moments. Go behind-the-scenes for a unique insight into the daily routines of zoo life and get your hands dirty – literally!

Mini Keeper Experience
Enjoy a fun-packed morning joining our keepers on their morning duties, allowing younger animal lovers to work with a range of animals as they go behind-the-scenes for an introduction to zoo keeping.

Penguin Magic Moment
Meet some of our most famous residents here at Edinburgh Zoo with a 30 minute Penguin Magic Moment. Enjoy the opportunity to get up close as you feed our Gentoo Penguins their favourite fish, all whilst learning about these unique birds.

Otter Magic Moment
Spend 30 minutes with our family of Asian small-clawed otters by feeding and interacting with them from our exclusive experience area. Our keepers will tell you all about these curious animals as you watch them play with enrichment and help them paint a special picture for you to take home!

Meerkat Magic Moment
Spend 30 minutes with some of the Zoo’s cheekiest and most charismatic animals as you help our keepers feed the meerkats. You will also work with our keepers making enrichment before watching the meerkats interact with what you’ve made.

Armadillo Magic Moment
