The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) is welcoming dino-mite new residents to Edinburgh Zoo this spring, giving visitors the chance to get up close and personal with prehistoric giants.

Dinosaurs! at Edinburgh Zoo will launch on 1 April, complete with a 40ft long t-rex and 65ft tall brachiosaurus. The wildlife conservation charity’s zoo hilltop will be home to over 20 animatronic dinosaurs for visitors to discover.

Lindsay Ross, events and experiences manager at RZSS said, “We are so excited to be bringing back dinosaurs to Edinburgh Zoo, bigger and better than ever before. After our 2015 trail, we know just how much our visitors love seeing these lost giants.

“It has been incredibly hard to hide our new residents and some eagle-eyed guests have already spotted some of them peeking out from various points in the zoo.

“Our dinosaur residents will stay with us for two years, giving everyone lots of time to enjoy our prehistoric trail, learn all about these extraordinary creatures and how they relate to endangered species today.”

Entry to Dinosaurs! at Edinburgh Zoo will be included in general zoo admission.

Dinosaurs! at Edinburgh Zoo has been designed in collaboration with Dino Don Inc.
