Late night openings
This summer, experience the zoo as the sun sets and enjoy late night access at a reduced rate!
This is a ZOOnique opportunity to see your favourite animals and enjoy our park after hours on selected dates. Tickets are subject to availability, so make sure you don't miss out! Those visiting during the day are welcome to stay into the night at no extra cost and members go free.

More time to explore
Food and drink will be available to purchase throughout the evening and our gift shop will remain open until 9:30pm so you can take home a special souvenir!
Please note, your late night ticket permits you entry from 4pm, with last entry at 8pm. The zoo will close at 9pm.
Some of our animals need more quiet time than others, so some of our animal houses will close earlier. If you have any questions, check out our FAQs.

Accessibility
Please be aware that the zoo is located on a hill. Mobility scooters can be hired for a refundable deposit of £25, or wheelchairs for a £10 deposit. Our mobility vehicle will be available on the evenings.
Wet weather
We will only cancel the late opening if it is deemed unsafe. Please be aware we are an outdoor attraction and to dress appropriately for the weather.
Getting to the zoo
Edinburgh Zoo can be easily accessed via public transport with high frequency bus services from Edinburgh city centre.
