Watch the penguins live!

Want to see more webcams?

We hope you enjoy watching our charity's colony at Penguins Rock, Europe's largest outdoor penguin pool!

Your support helps to care for all the animals you love here at Edinburgh Zoo, as well as contributing towards vital wildlife conservation, community and engagement work carried out by Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) teams in Scotland and around the world.

Our penguins are usually visible on the camera throughout the day, if you can't see any they are most likely just going for a swim and should be back soon.

Fun fact

On Thursdays - Sundays at 2:15pm, our penguin colony will take part in the Wee Waddle a reimagined version of the world-famous Penguin Parade. This new experience will allow visitors the chance to get up close to see the gentoo, rockhopper and king penguin colony take a stroll along the walkway before they explore a new area outside of their usual habitat.

You can help!

A message from Liz, our penguin keeper:

“Over one hundred penguins live here at Penguins Rock in Edinburgh Zoo - we're home to gentoo, king and rockhopper penguins.

"It costs £165 a day to feed our penguin colony. Thanks to everyone who has donated to help our penguins, it’s such a wonderful thing to do and makes a big difference."
